His independent initiative led him to partner with clients from US and UK to establish an Offshore Development Center (ODC) in 1999 in SEEPZ amongst established giants like TCS, Datamatics, Mastek and a host of renowned names. His innate entrepreneurial abilities to identify opportunities helped the family investment office to benefit from the real estate boom by expanding into an unrelated area of pre-tenanted commercial premises, land acquisitions and residential construction. The entrepreneurial streak continues to manifest with forays in eCommerce, software product development and establishing a pan-India presence of the IT services organization. Umesh is an engineering graduate from University of Mumbai and an MBA from Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM), University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney.
